BIG NEWS!! We are changing our name from Jews as Black Allies to Jewish and Black Alliance, effective today!
I received a very encouraging email from Rev. Dawn Riley Duval, one of the organizers of 5280, the Black Lives Matter Chapter in Denver, part of which I am including here:
“Jewish and Black Alliance” replacing “Jews as Black Allies” ~ yeeeessss!!!! The new name messages equality and solidarity toward actualizing racial justice – so powerful, so necessary in this critical moment in our country.
As Angela Sanders lovingly said at the panel, here’s to being accomplices!
